i'm doing a commercial. whats the best format to have a logo in if you want to import it into 720p footage? i want it to look as crisp as it does in print. also is it complicated to animate a logo in Motion? any tutorials on that?
If you have the logo in PSD I'd just import it as such. FCP pro can read it just fine and then you're not throwing away any information. But if you have it in another lossless format like TIFF or Targa you should be okay there too.
As for animating a logo, depending upon what you want to do, you might be able to just get it done in FCP. The built in keyframable attributes may be all you need. Then you don't need to go out to another software solution. But as for using Motion, I'd just google that. Basic animations are likely covered around (or may very well be covered in the manual itself). Good luck.
