importing 30p on handycam

I'm trying to capture some footage shot by a friend of mine in 30p. He had a dvx to shoot it with, but all i have to capture with is a sony dv handycam. When I capture with the dv ntsc preset it looks real grainy, and all the edges are jagged. Is this a setting problem in fcp or a compatability issue with the handycam?

Sony cam should be fine. Check your settings. This should be normal video 29.97 capture/sequence.
