1) high defintion video

d) frame aspect ratio?

2) standard definition video

a) frame size?
b) frame rate?
c) data rate?
d) frame aspect ratio?

3) sony HDV

a) frame size?
b) frame rate?
c) data rate?
d) frame aspect ratio?
e) color sampling?

(1) you need to specify a camera first, each model has its own exact paramters, its too vauge to generalise based upon a format alone.

Try using DVXusers search and try the following "HDV format" also hit up google:

Then read up on Adam Wilts extremely technical yet concise information regarding different DV formats.

If you still have questions after that, I'm sure anyone will be able to further expand on the subject.
