Import .VOB or standard dvd/cd into FCP?

So I'm trying to import some archival footage which has been burned on a cd. I want to add it to my timeline in FCP Studio, but I can't figure out how to import it, the cd contains all sorts of folders and various files, some ending in .vob. Any thoughts on how to import into timeline?

FCP should read the VOB files. or if not download this FREE software and it will allow you to convert them to Qt,avi etc.. Good luck http://www.squared5.com/

Final cut will import it but it can't understand the audio because it's not in a format it accepts so it won't work. Using Mpeg Streamclip which fadedjosh posted is definitely the best way as far as I see it.
