Import entire tape? Help!

I just shot 3 60 min tapes and my friend needs the footage later tonight but doesn't have a deck. I have a new hard drive, fcp and my dvx and I just want to get all 3 tapes dumped on to the drive (so she gets a duplicate of the tapes but I keep them) What's the best/easiest/fastest way to do this? Is it a bad idea to just import the whole thing into fcp as one clip? Any help greatly appreciated!

I import whole tapes with capture now all the time. you should have no problems.

You can grab the whole tape as 1 clip and then cut it into subclips. You can also have FCP create discreet media files from the subclips as well. Look in your help on subclips from markers to get started.
