Import DVD into Vegas

I have a short film on DVD I created in vegas(6) a few months back, my hardrive crashed and I lost all the original rendered work, so now I'm trying to import the film back into vegas from the DVD... is there a way to do this?

I tried using sonic to burn the DVD to my hardrive but there's no option to do so. What is the best way to go about getting that film back into VEgas6?

Thanks,

David, I tried that, but for some reason, the Audio will not play, I only get the video. I tried opening the Audio Folder, and nothing shows up in vegas.

Audio would have to be demuxed. If you're not familiar with all that, the easiest solution is play the DVD on your computer and record the sound at its quality equivelent or better in Sound Forge or something and save as .wav, then just pull the .wav into the timeline and sync it. I've done this a few times and it works fine.

DAMN!!! I was hoping I didn't have to do that, but that's an excellent tip, what I'll do is play it in my computer and record the audio on my Boom Mic then import the audio into vegas and sync it, great tip Kaz, in by the way.. I don't know anything about demuxed.

You could do that...

But if your audio card allows to record "what you hear" you won't need a mic. It'll just record any sound your computer is playing (such as your dvd) and the quality can be exact.
