Import DV to Vegas .

Hi - I have a SOny Vaio Computer. For some reason Vegas doesnt' recongize my ag-dvx100 camera.

I have two drivers

1) Texas Instruments OHCI compliant controller
Manufacturer is Texas
Driver provider is Microsoft
Version is 5.1.2535.0
Date of Driver is 7/1/2001

2) OHCI Compliant controller
Manufacturer is not listed - just says General
Driver provider is Microsoft
Version is 5.1.2535.0
Date of Driver is 7/1/2001


I plugg the ag-dvx100 in both 1394 ports and vegas doesnt' recongize it. I have the camera in VCR mode.

There's a utility available from Sony that fixes this. Basically it swaps the computer's firewire driver between a Vegas-compatible one and a Vaio-compatible one.

I don't know where it is exactly, but if you go to the Vegas forum and ask there, I'm sure somebody will know exactly what you're looking for and where to find it.

Hi - thanks for the message. Ok so I have determined that my Sony ieee drivers have been removed. Most likely my Microsoft during a driver update. That is why the song switcher doesn't work. I am going to try to restore my drivers but would welcome any other ideas.
