Impact Light w/ Umbrella OK?

Re: Impact Light w/ Umbrella OK?

I personally never use an umbrella in video, ok for photography but for video I want light control. For indoor interviews its hard to beat three point lighting. While its all subjective I light to a f6.5. For my camera that usually means 650 fresnel for the primary light then you can gel it for the look you want, a softbox or reflector for the fill and 650 fresnel or more for the back light. It seems very important on the back light, that it be strong enough to seperate your subject from the background. You may want to check to see if you can rent the lights anywhere, if not you may want to check out altman lights. good lights at a good price.

Post some pics once you shoot, be nice to see how they turn out.
