I have a project that I needed to put together quickly and decided to use iMovie and iDVD for a quickie. The movie plays perfectly in iMovie but when I "share" to iDVD, one of the audio files gets a second audio "layer" from another scene. When the scene is played in iDVD, it has two audio tracks layered. I have tried this several times with the same result on the same clip, but with different audio from other scenes. Any help? iMovie 9 and the latest iDVD on Snow Leopard, Macbook Pro.
Also, why does iMovie look noisy (artifacts and a clipping of the blacks) in the black level as compared to FCP? There should have been no compression as I imported and ingested the files from my DVX200 via FireStore in 720p into FCP (Studio 2 2009) and set the import in iMovie to "full", 16:9.
I would hate to re-do the project in FCP due to time constraints.
