imovie files imported into fcp

Anyone ever have probs importing footage from dvx-100 into imovie and then importing imovie files into fcp...
i've been doing it this way to avaoid all the timecode break headaches from log/capture directly into fcp and it seems fine...some said i may encounter synch probs or other types so far, only thing is i must render 'em which is no big deal....anyone do this process ever?

You should be ok but it's very round about. As noted audio is different speed. You could see some potential quality loss due to format changes of picture and audio.
