Immortals

King of Australia
This movie was all glitz and no soul. Didn't have a thing on 300.

PROS -
The lead will make a good Superman

CONS -
You probably should have waited for DVD.

2.5/5

I thought it was fun. Stupid, yeah, but coherent and fun. The sequences of the gods fighting those ashy creatures (titans? don't remember what they were called) were particularly interesting.

I don't mind a bit of silly fun, but this kind of bored me, same response from my roommate too.

I went into it thinking it was going to be another all style no substance action flick. It certainly delivered on the action sequences, which were awesome, but I also was pleasantly surprised at the elements I wasn't expecting to be good like the story and acting. I thought the story wasn't terrible, and the acting was pretty good overall, with Mickey Rourke standing out in almost every scene he's in. What a badass. Frieda Pinto did what she was supposed to do in the film, which is look hot, and that's about it. Overall, I actually quite liked it. I actually like it better than 300.

Not a good movie. But I had fun watching. Awesome action scene with the gods fighting at the end. The slow-motion/fast motion effect I hadn't seen since "The One" years ago, and this did it better, with gore and all that too. I probably enjoyed it because my expectations were low and I just went for the visuals.

I actually like it better than 300.

I watched 300 again shortly after seeing Immortals in theaters, and I still like 300 better. The actors seem to have more fun with it (particularly Fassbender in a breakout role), and it's way more epic.
