how do you get your film on their site? do you have to sign up and pay their annual membership fees in order to get films on?

thanks

ps, yes i read all of their docs and i just don't get it. lol

There's a process you have to go through...I submitted info for it THREE months ago and just noticed that my movie 'Metal Storm' is on there now.

You don't have to pay, you just have to prove that your film is publicly available according to the critera listed on the site. One restriction is no online releases... meaning just b/c something is on YouTube doesn't mean it's getting put on IMDB.

Public broadcast, retail DVD release, and of course theatrical release are the easiest ways to get the film listed. Festival premieres can also work.

yeah i've noticed that i have only two things on there(as far as acting) wtf so i joined the friggin thing now i have to find out how to put up all the stuff that i did.

Just hit the yellow 'update' button at the bottom of your listing page. The site pretty much walks you through it, from there.

well i've only done short films and haven't submitted them into any festivals until this year but those fests haven't come around yet. SO I guess this makes be a no go for IMDB huh?

if the fests list your film(s) in their upcoming schedule, that's good enough. you'll provide that link while filling out the new title form. you just need a third party web site like a film fest to prove that the film exists.
