Hey guys.
its always been one of my dreams to get my name, profile, and resume up on imdb along all the actors of our time and past, however i never knew it would happen like this.
I was just crawling along the site of a film i did with the graduates of film school from Concordia universities school of cinema, and saw that they received and imdb, or created, an imdb page for it. I know it was entered into festivals, and may have even won some stuff, and maybe that is the reason it was posted on imdb. But this ended up giving "Jonathan Dubsky" a profile.
Now, i normally would not be saying this is a bad thing, but in this circumstance it is.
I had alot of problems prior, during, and after shooting " Josh and Elias " Mainly with the director and being taken advantage of as an actor ( for the amount of time, money, and work i put in, i didnt get what i expected out of it ).
I don't mind being associated still with the film, but i badly do not want it appearing in my resume, as i would more want it erased from my history if possible. It got so bad to the point where i dont want to have any involvement at all with the production..
Now, my name has been put into a profile on imdb, by im not sure who, how , when, or why. But i wanted to know if they are allowed to do that? Or if anyone period is allowed to do that without the concent of the actor being publicised?
here is the link
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2393063/
Secondly, if ever my page does continue to exist, do i have any control over it? I have made it a clear point of mine to create Jonathan Edmund, as my stage name and leave jonathan Dubsky, for film making and other real life affairs. But now its credited as my real name.
im just confused, excited, but a little upset at the same time. Can anyone fill me in?
