Hey everyone!

Shoot over to IMAGEN Films by going to http://www.imagenstudios.com and linking to IMAGEN Films.

I've started a no/low-budget filmmaking company, BUT I am attempting to make the quality of every aspect (from the website to our films) as professional as possible.  Now, a lot of people SAY that... I do it.

As in, Ron Howard's "Imagine" entertainment? Terry's right, if you have much success you may run into trouble with the name as it may be too similar to an existing company...

im thinking the same as you guys here.. imagine entertainment is no small fish. i wouldnt name my film company "dreamwerks" but thats just me. anyhow, i hope that this new company does well.. good to see some good old independent projects coming up, with some quality control.

About the name IMAGEN and IMAGINE. Our image is not only much different than theirs, we have actually spoken with Brian Grazer's brother about using the name IMAGEN Films and there is no problem.

But thanks for your concern guys.

Im checking it out right now and i have high speed internet, having the site as a whole bunch of images isn't a good idead at all and it makes the load time very long. I am like I said on high speed and things are taking a while to load. maybe make exactly that but using flash and it would be a whole lot better! ..and faster! But just the look of it is great, just not the design! (site wise)

I had ZERO problems with load times but every link is a new page.......

Sigh.....

Well, it's actually NOT that much different, and I wouldn't take Brian Grazer's brother's word for it unless he's an official agent of the company. (One remembers how Brezhnev took Billy Carter's word for it and then got bogged down in Afghanistan! ;) ) Trademark is a tricky beast.

..i dont even think its so much of a tradmark issue, as it is a confusion issue for the general public.  alot of your credit may end up going to the better known company. ..but its when something bad goes to them that they will start to care, or when people start to take up their time inquiring about your company.  in general its just not a good idea imho , but good luck with it anyway :) that got milk looks pretty slick. any estimated time for having it done?

The website is up and running!  The reason it was down was because we were updating a couple of things.

As for the film contest.... check out the website.

We also have a screening coming up.  All the info is at http://www.imagenfilms.com
