image sequence import problem

hi

well, I've been using premiere for some years and this has never happened before.
The problem started when i was trying to import a .tga image sequence. as i was going to check the numbered stills checkbox in the import window i find out that the checkbox had dissapeared. After looking for any preferences that had changed I'm not able to find any way to take it back.
Is it a common problem? what should I do?

thanks in advance

Did the checkbox disappear or is it "grayed out" and unavailable.

I've noticed that it's unavailable until I actually pick the first file of a numbered sequence (and I think they do have to end with numbers). Do your files have a numbered suffix and are you selecting the first file (_000.tga)?

For me, that's when the checkbox becomes available.

It didn't gray out it dissapeared. At first i thought that it would come again when picking a tga file but it didnt.

yes they are numbered.

for more information I have seen that when i open projects that were created before the first problem have the checkbox but the new ones created after the problem took place haven't got the checkbox

problem fixed. cbrougham Thanks for the link.

For others with the same problem, it was related to dual screens, so if this happens you only have to maximize the window in your primary monitor and the checkbox will come back again.

yep just got to this thread - but the dual screen thing screwed me up for half a day a few weeks ago. crazy adobe...

It's funny... the only reason I knew where to look for that is because someone over on the Matrox RT.X2 forums had the same problem. Glad it worked though--and hopefully it's fixed in CS3.

the craziest thing is that it only happens when in a specific window arrangement what makes knowing when it will happen really difficult

I wish i had the CS3!!
