image sequece and detail loss

I've exported a clip from FCP to image sequece (TIFF with NO COMPRESSION, I've tried both Millions of colors and Best depth), to touch up in photoshop and import back to FCP again but... When I import the files I can see some color change in the global image!

Is not much but you can see it if you are a good observer. Can it be due to loss of detail when exporting to image sequence?

How can I work around this?

Thanks

Do you see a difference when you import the same frames you exported (ie. without editing them in Photoshop)? If you do, it's possibly a compression change.

If it's color shifts (and not changes in tonality), then I'm guessing it's a change in color profile. FCP doesn't assign a color profile when you export images, but Photoshop might (depending on your settings) assign a profile on opening of the file or when you save it back.

When you open the frame in Photoshop does it ask you about color management? If so, tell it to not color manage (not to assign a color profile). If it doesn't ask, then it might be assigning one automatically (usually either Adobe RGB or sRGB). Then go to Edit > Assign Profile and select Don't Color Manage (I'm using CS4 so the directions might be different for you if you are using an earlier version). Alternatively. when you save the image make sure you don't have "Embed Color Profile" checked on.

Hi Cools,
Thanks for you suggestions. I've exported one frame and imported it again without photoshop interference and it's happening!

I'm exporting TIFF files from file/export/using Quicktime conversion (no compression - millions of colors, but I've tried anything else).

The sequence is a plane crossing the sky and the exported images always look a little brighter (almost imperceptible looking at the images alone, but you can see it clearly once you play the timeline with the mixed footage).
Besides that, it strangely appears like the stills have been sharpened comparing them to the original footage. Once again, it's almost imperceptible but if you compare them, the original seems like it have some blur on it.
I've tried to deinterlace the stills in photoshop but it didn't work again :(
