Image 2000 shoulder support question

I just bought an image 2000 shoulder support at Birns and Sawyer in Hollywood. It is the one with 2 grips for both hands.
It works pretty good. Just having the camera on it makes it look damn professional. My question is ...
does anyone else have one? What are your experiences?
and most of all, is there any way to get a quick release (female) that will fit on the support it so I do not have to take the camera off its quick release (male) I use for the tripod?

My last question. Why did it take me 30 minutes to find parking to go to the Starbucks up Highland by the Hollywood Bowl?

It's amazing that a simple camera mount, and it is simple, costs more than a 20" color television. I realize that TVs are mass produced, but come on, $400 for that?

That's my general opinion of booms and suspension systems. The ones you buy work great. I just don't get why they are so expensive ...except that people will pay for them.

yeah, I agree. They gave me a little off so it was 370.00 instead, but yeah, I got that feeling like I was in jail and dropped the soap. But it is offset by how cool it looks and works. Just wish it had a quick release.

I had seen the image2000 on other sites for less, though these are the same sites that have DVX100a's for 2200.00 (makes me a little nervous). Strange thing is...the image2000 is a B&S product, they make them. Are they selling them cheap in bulk to resellers?

Making something similar probably wouldn't be too tough. Especially if you knew who, and what camera you were buliding it for. You wouldn't have to woory so much about it being adjustable.

I have the image 2000 along with probally 3 or 4 other companies ones.. The 2000 is so simple its prefered.. I just had a project where I hired 3 guys to shoot with DVX's for 90 hours and the 2000 seemed to be the one they prefered when the DVrig pro was taken (by me).. light and simple, and the dual handgrips is cool.. I would suggest though getting a zoom controller.
