Hey guys,
Here's a quick breakdown on how I solved a vexing problem with one of the Macs in my studio.
In many instances editing video on on this machine created QT videos that played with a really odd "Jaggies" problem... every 6th line or so was offset by a number of pixels. This is the most bizarre thing I've experienced in many years using a Mac and Final Cut Pro.
The solution:
Export 23.98 QuickTime movie from FCP 6 timeline.
Create a new 29.97 Sequence in FCP 6.
Import the 23.98 QuickTime movie back into the FCP 6 Project.
Place the 23.98 movie onto 29.97 timeline.
Export-> QuickTime Movie (self-contained setting).
Open this new QuickTime movie using QuickTime Player.
Movie Properties-> 848 x 480.
Save.
