Dear all,
I am residing in Singapore and I reckon it is time for me to upgrade from PC to iMac. I am a wedding photographer as well as videographer doing wedding jobs on the actual day locally. I am also looking to change my current editing programme to FCP X for its similarity with my current editing programme and the FCP X offers more.

Based on my budget, I have decided to get the 21.5" with 8GB RAM @ $1788. However, only online ordering in local Apple store could I get a 16GB RAM and I need to wait for 3 weeks before being delivered to me. Most resellers stores here could only sell me the 21.5"with 8GB RAM and most they commented they could not upgrade further in the further too! Only 3rd party repair stores could offer me this option of upgrading the RAM in the future.
I understand that the FCP X needs at least 4GB RAM, and the 8GB from the 21.5" seems to be enough, but I really hope I have the option of upgrading to 16 GB in the further. The 27" is out of my budget so that is not an option.
So I am seeking advice here whether or not the 21.5" iMac with 8GB of RAM is enough to run FCP X smoothly? - Based on user reviews here.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Jack
