I'm visiting LA in three weeks

lol. Umm the fact that alot of the graduates end up teaching. There was lots. I will just never affiliate with any school named Columbia again.. If you ask chicago they deny being part of the one in california, but california claims it parted and went to chicago in 59 or something. So I say you do more investigating or get accepted at other schools in california before you decide to visit, this way you have options. If it's too late, go visit LA film, USC, and any other school you can find. And then ask students personally if they like it, without the tour giver in your presence. ( :
Oh yes. #1 thing I hated
At ccc, you will never shoot a sync sound film. Some other places are like this as well, which is why I ignore them.

mmm...interesting. well here's my plan- i'm visiting- if i like it, great, i'll try to start asap. if i hate it, i'm taking my SAT's (which i never took) then applying to a bunch of places next year. i havent looked into the big schools yet. thanks...any more comments?

Sounds like your just in my position. I'm just more protective on my money, who will get it, and how ill be able to pay it back. I think going to any accredited school will do in the CA area, because it opens you to internships.

yeah bluestar, thats what i'm goin for. i really want to be in the area. I checked out NY Film academy, which i didnt like at all, and fullsail, which i read was a scam, (no offense to anyone, just what i read.) So we'll see!

Yes, I've wanted to attend full sail since I was a kid in highschool. I have a friend who just got out of the marines attending there...go figure. But yes, a director emailed me and told me he hired someone who graduated full sail not knowing he did, and the guy said he learned more being on set than he did at Full Sail. But yes, they are ripping students off, just to pretty that place up. NY Film acadamy is okay, but I don't think you have the rights to your films. THIS people, THIS is what I find a jolt of educational communities telling you don't have the rights to your films in which you paid for. LA Film school is the only school I know (so far, so dont come hitting me) that doesnt lock your films.
