Since the US OPEN Ive been playing tennis with some regularity. I havent played in 7 years.....................

Even my 5 year old has been taking tennis lessons....

Ive literally hit roughly 4000 balls in 6 weeks off the Lobster

Since then; Every thursday I play in some social mixer; ages ranging from 35 to
65 with about 30 people showing up for doubles......

Doubles is a different gam than singles kids....

I have some experience in singles; took the Number 3 seed in San Diego 3 sets in 1998 ish in singles (4.0) while taking the Number 1 seed in doubles 3 sets....

Anyway

Ran into a dude tonihgt in doubkes; kicked our ass

Literally killed us. Just ****ing blew us away. Single handidly. Im so pissed. Stay tuned; cause my goal is to kill this duide next time

I'm about teetering on a 4.0 - 4.5 today.....

Revenge, is a great motivator.

I play tennis pretty regularly, but I'm probably only a 3.5 on that scale at best. I have no spin on my shots. :(

Is this guy a power player or finesse? If you say "both" then forget it. There's nothing worse then blazing the back line as the other guy beats you by dropping just over the net... or vice versa.

I wish you lived around here 'cause I can't get anybody locally to play with me... but I'm not good enough to belong to a league. BTW... you aren't wearing cowboy boots to the matches are you?

During the summer I played in a tennis league and some local tournaments. In singles I only play at a strong 3.0 or a weaker 3.5 (depends on the day of the week). My doubles partner and I play at about a 4.0, simple because he has an awesome power serve and a ton of finesse and spin in his ground shots. I'm 6'2" and play a strong net game, but if these people came out and just beat you down like that, then I would just use it as a good motivator.

This summer in the semi finals of our little local tournament my doubles partner and I were playing these people a lot better than us. They figured out the best strategy was to just run my smoking ass all over the court the entire time. Needless to say, we got our asses handed to us, and my partner wouldn't talk with me for the next week.

We could hold a DVXUser tennis tournament... or not.
 
Yeah i was going to say, DAYUM you must be pissed because of all the misspellings. Next time wear a mirrored sequin type shirt so when the sun reflects off of it he will have trouble seeing the ball. Be like a human disco ball and ****. :)

I'll get this dude; I think I could take him in Singles; but with doubles; man.......

Ill get him.
 
Have you ever noticed how some people are just better singles players and others are better doubles players? Even if you look at the top pros, rarely are there those people who are awesome at both...

Yeah, people used to rag on Anna Kournikova because she never won a tournament on the singles tour. But in doubles she won a grand slam tournament and was part of the #1-ranked team in the world...
