I'm no Sound Guy - Sennheiser G2 or the G3?

Hey guys. So I found a really nice deal on a set of Sennheiser G2 (518-554mhz). I have also been looking at the G3s. What are the differences between them? Are the G2s still worth getting today (with regards to sound quality and transmission from transmitter to receiver).

Thanks.

Most significantly IMO, the G3 portable EK100 is a diversity receiver, the G2 is single stage/antenna non-diversity
The G3 SK100 bodypack transmitter's sensitivity settings are in 3 or 4dB increments for more precise level adj. The G2 is in 10dB steps. The G3 100 series has more frequency banks/channels for running multiple systems and slightly wider frequency blocks.
A few other non-performance related bells and whistles as well.
The on-board scan function is still not worth sh*t for highly populated RF environments. Due diligence is still required for optimum performance, but this holds true for all wireless systems.
