I'm in a play...

Rick Meyer

Veteran
I'm in a production of PROOF which opens tonight. As it normally goes with the day of opening night, I can't relax. I can't concentrate on work. I can't eat. The stress has me wanting to lie down and take a nap, but I know that sleep will NEVER happen, so I don't bother.

If I get any more restless I will wind up with poop in my drawers.

I just figured I'd share.

Once, when doing 'As You Like It' at the La Jolla Playhouse I threw up in my mouth and swallowed it while on stage.

Break a leg!

Hey Briceman...what part of Cali? I lived there in LA County for 8 years. The weather and lifestyle is pretty hard to beat!

Rick, if my wife wasn't out of town I would of came through... damn.

Is it running this week?

Coffee, thats pretty great of ya! Yes, it is running for two more weeks. Ahh, such is the life of regional theater...A lot of rehearsing for a shortlived run. But I'd LOVE to see you out there. And, I actually saved your 1000 post video to my hard drive, I liked it so much. So, I'd recognize ya.

We've got next weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Matinee) and the following Friday (Feb 17th, and Feb 18th). I'd love the support. Plus, it's a small but very talented cast. So far we've been receiving some excellent feedback.

If you like, before you commit, I can send you a review when it comes out, so you don't have to drive all the way up without the good press. But, last night we were almost sold out so if word of mouth is a positive one, tickets will go. Performing for packed houses...nothing like it.

Rick

PS If you come, do NOT be a stranger. I can't stand when people come to a show and dont bother to wait until I get my make-up off...."oh..we didnt know if you were coming out or not". Yeah, like I was going to NEVER come out. Hey, gettin' pancake off takes time...
