I'm having one of those days...

You know those days where you have a large catholic wedding + reception to edit, a documentary to finalize and send to distributor, a couple hours of footage to scrub / clean / extract interesting 'stories' from.... and then a youth symphony which is ran by an old friend calls about wanting a four camera shoot of one of their largest performances of the year shot tonight, with no prior planning?

Oh, and you're suppose to be flying back home tomorrow, which is the other side of the country, and you have to tell your wife that you have to extend your trip by an extra 2-3 weeks...

I'm going back to still photography.

Old friends should know better than to lay last minute stuff on you. If not, telling him No now will teach him that. Take care of the family and the paid/booked in advance jobs first.

I hear ya.

They're not being unreasonable though (relatively), very nice about it and all, just really wanting it and hoping it was possible, profusely apologizing in-between sentences. It was one of those last minute "hey, that would actually be a really great fund raiser to sell DVDs of the big performance" ideas.

Just one of those days is all, I'll probably end up getting it all done and still doing the concert.

The wife, however, heh, well, I'll be making up for the 2-3 week extension for awhile. But she'll forgive me... eventually.

I live seasons with days that you wouldn't believe. On the bright side though, it is days like those that make mediocre days seem Golden.
