I'm having a problem with some footage...

Okay, so I'm editing some stuff for a friend, and I'm getting this weird strobing... It was shot in 24p, and no it's not the motion strobing, it's the lights.

When I see this footage on my LCD computer monitor it's fine, when I watch it on my production CRT the light sort of strobes. When I play it off the tape it looks perfectly fine (on both monitors) but after capture it's flickering... ???

It's not just this shot, it's all the shots with bright light.

hmmm....was it shot with fluorescent lights?

Nope, Arri 650w fresnel. It's happening w/ footage lit by the sun as well.

Was it 24PA, and captured into Premiere 1.5?
I seem to remember people mentioning a problem with this combination - and the remedy seemed to be to add a "Broadcast safe" filter. It had something to do with 7.5% setup being applied to certain frames, but not all - and with the filter, it was applied to all.

I may be completely off the rocker, but I remember something to that nature...

It looks like one of the guys from that previous clip posted where the girl was shouting "Lghtening Bolt".......is this the sequel. ???

HAHAHAHA

They're having a film contest at work called "Low Tech Cinema" and it's supposed to have super cheesy costumes and stories. However, little do they suspect that I'm using good lighting and a camera shooting in 24p. ;D ;D

Yup, there's been discussion regarding this problem in the Premiere section. Search that section for "strobing". User "Kevin_Corcoran" helped figure out the problem.
