Just got the call from my agent and they (Sundance) want to meet me next month for inclusion in the 2009 Screenwriters Lab this year. They said mine was one of their favorite scripts, how friggin' cool is that?! My meeting is for the Lab in June, I guess there are two a year. I'm meeting with the director of the Lab in Feb.

just thought I'd share, I'm super-stoked! :)

Congratulations!

For those not familiar with the process, How did this come about? How did you go about getting accepted?

I believe 2-3000 submissions are made a year. Out of that, 12 are selected to go to Sundance for a week at a resort to conduct an intensive script workshop with various producers and alumni. Several screenwriter/directors had their scripts jumpstarted from getting into the top 12, such as Tarrintino's Resevoir Dogs, PT Anderson's Hard Eight, Darren Aronofsky's Requiem, among several others that were selected in past years.

My agent at ICM actually entered me and yesterday he got the call that I made it in. That's pretty much the background and process, for me anyway.

Thanks again guys! :)
