I've just ordered a 2.26 octo mac pro. I'm really excited.
I'm presently on a 2.16 duo core imac with 4gigs of ram even though it only supports 3. When i render most things on the imac will clip along a about 60% cpu and uses about half the ram but takes a really really long time.
So my question is; if this is all my imac will push itself can I expect anything faster on the new computer? Is this a fcp issue? Why isn't the imac taxing itself to the max?
