im being scammed !!!

630 bucks. i sold this guy in maryland my century fisheye. he claims he sent the money but after the first week i was getting worried. about 2.5 weeks after selling my lens, i find his parents phone number off of whitepages.com. i talked to his mom and se said they dont have the money and they will send the lens back. its been a around 2 weeks and i still dont have my lens or money. this guys mom wont pick up her phone either, ive called numerous times and left messages. this sucks. He faked his name, lied about his family, and he tried to scam another guy out of a lens. i shouldve waited for the money first, but hes done many transactions before so i trusted him. idk what i can do. im niot sure about the legal stuff i can do. can i sue him for internet fraud/scam? or is the only thing i can do is rpess charges? any help is greatly appreciated.
 
just give me more time. i'll send you the money as soon as my mom ups my allowance.

Did you sell to a dvxuser.com member? Sorry to hear about this, but man--always get the money first. You need tp report any fraud to the police asap. I'd try to work with the MD state police or his local county police and since it's interstate fraud, you can also report it to the FBI. The big problem is that nobody has the resources to chase all the small fry, so make an effort, but don't expect a lot of action. Keep after the guy for the money and send registered letters, and keep meticulous records. You can also file a small claim in the District Court of Maryland.

The person is a thief. You have his address and phonenumber, so call his local police department and see what they can do?
 
bahahah. that clip is greatt. this scammer is from skateperception.com. lotsa scamemrs there, even a subforum dedicated to scams.and yea i have all his info, and im calling the police tommorw. i just cant believe the mom would also not send it. i just read previous scams this guy ahs done. if he succeedd in his scams he would probably have more than 5,000 im guessing. to bad he failed in everysinge one ive read... i guess his mom didnt raise him to well. whata sketchy family.
 
All it needs to be is over $750 in crimes and he's a felon... not mis-D... FELONY. You might want to tell his mom that on the answering machine... and call the cops anyway. F that D.
 
Go to his house..ring his bell...beat the crap outta him..barg into the house..find the lens..take it back and make a mad dash for the airport.
 
You might throw in that it's a federal offense with manadtory minimum prison time. While you're at it why don't you send him a soap-on-a-rope with a note telling him he's going to need this in prison.

yea the thing tha got me to really trust him was that skateboarwheel on sp personally messaged me on sp and said he was legit and they skate together everyday. i trusted skateboardwheel cuz hes done tons of transactions and i remember he once was beaten up and almost got his stuff taken. never trusting anyone i dont know ever again. i learned my lesson, but now this kid needs to learn his. im pretty sure hes a minor since he has his mommy do everyhting for him so idk what punishment he can get. community service i bet.
 
dont trust anyone, unless you kow them personally, and even then.... its fishy. payment upfront in full.

And for all I know, Luis is lying and saying that Timur can't be trusted because he (Luis) is about to sell something illegitimate and doesn't want Timur to bust him on it... :cheesy:
 
Whats truly scary is that you really dont even know that you talked to his "mommy" or that he is even a kid.

I HATE theives.
