I'm about to buy the AT875 from a guy - is this REALLY a good buy?

Hi,

I am newbie when it comes to audio. But, as far as I know, this is a good deal:

Which, in Canada, costs me $250 - not the $169 in the states. So, quite the deal. My question is, if it is "still in the box" what should it include? Is it standard that a microphone like that will just be that...a microphone? Or, should I be aware that in order for this to be a good deal, it should include, say, a windscreen or some kind of mount. I've never bought a video mic before, and I just don't want to be ripped off.

I do not know if you guys could even tell me one way or another. I am basically just worried about buying this and then realizing that some part that is standardly sold in the "$250 regular price" is not included.

Thanks so much guys!

Also, is there anything I should be looking for when I inspect it? I won't be able to record something there then see how it sounds, so what can I do? I'm always nervous about buying from a non-commercial entity because there is less accountability.

Yes the mic comes with the extras as stated above and I now have five of them.

Ask him to plug it into something to prove that it is working but a visual inspection should also be a good sign if it has been dropped etc.

If you go to the B&h page for the mic click the overview button and on the right should be what is included in the box
