After trying and failing with the helicopter gear DIY for my follow focus, I started digging for an alternative and found this underwater gear:

It saids fits FD so it just needs to fit my Cavision ff gear. I was wondering if anyone tried this?

You have to make sure that the teeth match up. What was the problem you were having with the gear?

That was the exact problem I was having with the helicopter gear. The teeths were too small. I think the standard is 32 pitch but when I took it to another hobby place and matched up to a 32p gear the guy said it's still too small (It looked awlfully closed to me though) and the gear diameter was too small anyway. So the search continues...

Change the gear on the follow focus or whatever you are using to match up the teeth.
