Re: Ikegami TM9-1 vs. JVC TM910 SU Production Moni

I dont have experience with those monitors, or field montors for that matter, but I had jvc 14" editing monitor and i ended up returning it for a sony. It was harsh to look at after hours of editing. It had some nice features for the price but it gave me a headache after a while. I'm glad i exchanged it because I love my sony! Perhaps if it's just for field use you'll be ok...Not sure how the Ikegami is, but my first choice would be a Sony. Just my 2c's

We use two of the Ike's at our production company, and have had them for years they are rugged and have a nice warm picture. Sony's are nice but I think they tend to be a bit bluish. We have an old jvc 910 but it took a tumble and was never the same. In my opinion I would spring for the Ike over the JVC.
