IKan HD Monitor

Hey my hvx people, does anyone have or know about the v8000 HD monitor by IKAN (ikancorp.com) ? The monitor is only about $800 and it's supposed to be an hd monitor.
Also, how does it compare to the marshall monitor.
 
the ikan is great for focusing and framing. the picture is good enough for me although it doesn't "feel" like an HD image it's still great for the price. it doesn't compare to the marshall and it wasn't made to compare to the marshall. two different price categories.
 
Thanks for the support, my dvxuser family is a life (time) saver. I wiil probably go with the marshall. The only problem I had with the marshall was the weight. While I have your attention does anyone know about the indicam? (Indicam.com) How reliable is it because the price is outstanding?
 
I thought that Nebtek was supposed to have a badass monitor coming out. A bit more expensive then the Marshall. Personally I'd buy there version with the Panny battery back as other 4 pin and whatever options are kind of a pain...

The ikan has a sweet battery option available.. my bro got it for his cam. I might end up gettting one as price is key these days. Also sucks that you can get a 42 plasma for the price of the Marshall.. crazy
 
I, too, have been waiting breathlessly for the promised Nebtek. It supposedly will have the same 'focus in red' feature as the panny, but in white -which is easier to see... and cheaper to boot!

As it stands now, neither the Panny or the Nebek are being delivered to any real degree.
 
ilove my ikan .i had a power surge in the battery and pow... i fired it off to ikan and they shipped me a new on the next day, great company.
 
Seems to be a consensus. same thing happend to a buddy twice before he got one that worked for more than a day... Man
