Here is the official announcement video:

Quite a few initial reviews have gone live on youtube too.

Finally someone has taken the colour quality of a Daylight balanced LED chip to the next level.

SSI - 84 (compared to D55 daylight)
TLCI - 99
CRI - 98
TM-30 - 97

Here is the Gerald Undone, first look / mini review

The spectrum looks great… here is a grab from the Gerald video showing an Aputure spectrum vs iFootage spectrum… the blue spike has finally been tamed and blue channel is also broader.

iFootage Anglerfish have the best SSI and TM-30 scores I've ever seen for an LED at 5600K. I'd like to see some CTO gel on the lights and test the values at 3200k.

It looks like they are using two blue emitters(one at about 440nm and the other at about 475nm). This would fill in the spectrum more below 420nm, get rid of the dip at 465nm(usually seen in regular 450nm blue pump leds), and lower the blue spikes because more volume of blue light is being created.

I'd like to see more pro-oriented version of the lights with a full sized dmx in-out, more robust yoke, mounting clamp for the ballast.... and RGBWW versions. I'd imagine tungsten reproduction would be near perfect with this tech.
