When I got married my wife to be wanted a Honda Accord... so I bought her one and we went up to "look at them" and they had the one she wanted on the showroom floor... "center stage" if you will... and when she walked up to it... the front windshield had a sign across it asking her to marry me.
Little did I know that a couple years later... she would be huge, thankless, sexless... and when we finally got a divorce she used my cash, that was designated to pay off some bills (on top of the bills that I accepted in the form of CC debt)... she used that settlement... for what else? To buy a brand new accord.
Now she occasionally sends me a message to get back together... LOL... yeah, I want more of that.
Not that I'm bitter...
No really... Congrats. When it works it's the best thing ever.
You did this up right, very romantic and I am sure you made massive fiance points.
BUT, "she would be huge, thankless, sexless..." Matt speaks the truth.
This year is my 25th anniversary and I have only made it by incredible patience, sacrifice and mainly because I am probably the most stubborn and obstinate person on the planet. Too stubborn to divorce.
So while I have scraped to year 25, I tell my son to NEVER get married, there is nothing in it for a man.
