If You Have It...

Hey Guys!

First of all, sorry for all the threads on scripts. Desperately looking for some descent ones to produce. Anyway...

I am looking for a short screenplay that is somewhat like "The Prestige." Not necessarily about magicians (of course, I'm game for this also), but the way the story is. It's a bunch of pieces to a puzzle, and they don't make since until the end. It jumps around in time. Looks at things from different perspectives. It's just plain interesting. I would though like it to be set in present day, for budget reasons.

Just please don't make it so convoluted that you are forced to do an information dump at the end in order for the audience to put it all together. That was a MAJOR sore spot for me with the Prestige. Another movie that does this is Minority Report - a great movie until Tom Cruise spends 5 minutes recapping the whole thing on his cell phone at the end. WTF was that?

I liked it thought how in The Prestige, you don't understand anything until the guys talk. Then everything makes sense. I want something like that.

I am a writer but i produce my own stuff so i cant help you but really there are a ton of great un-produced scripts you can find on the net and the writers are always eager to see their work actually produced one of the best resources for scripts on the net is www.simplyscripts.com go to the unproduced scripts section or go to the forums i am sure you can find one that fits what your looking for there is some very good work there and there are alot of talented writers that post there work there and they are all usually looking to see there hard work actually get filmed so check them out if you havent already.

I think it is really shooting in the dark, grabbing any script to read. You want to have them read your script you plan to shoot, to see if they fit your characters. That said, what genre are you doing?
