(Male and Female leads).

Who do you reckon are the great up and coming talents or maybe a veteran actor starting to cool down....

Screenplay will be written around the personalities of the cast to give them the best possible chance of delivering great work.

Most screenplays are re-written that way... Dialog pace (and beat) has to suit an actor otherwise you get that horrid mechanical acting that makes a movie feel wooden.

Then there is also the age of the actor, can't have an older actor having his first kiss, diving through tomato sauce crates and listening to eminem! (mmm.. not a bad idea for a comedy).

I've yet to meet one. What actors often don't like it exploiting the reality of who they are and their personal business to build a character. But writing to their strengths as actors is something I've always seen met with enthusiasm.

Topher Grace (under utilized and has more range than anyone has given him a chance to show I think), Hayden Panettiere and Barry Corbin (Northen Exposure, War Games, etc)

OR

Ben Rappaport (Outsourced...new and not tested but great potential), Jaime Pressly and Barry Corbin. What can I say...would love to see Barry in a race car movie!

Now, if this happens and my choices get used in any way, I expect an associate producer credit on the film!

I was considering someone like Macaulay Culkin or some ex massive child star who needs a bit of a reboot.

Gonna see a casting director next week or so and get some suggestions but I'd like to have some thoughts of my own going in.

In an ideal world, I would love Barry Pepper... gonna give it a try and see if he bites.

Need to balance my need for a box office draw card with an actor that can really nail it!


Filming this one November next year so luckily have a bit of time to schmooze a star or two above my pay grade

Seen some great local actors who are uber no name brands but distributor and Bond Completion company wants recognizable faces.

Joseph Gordon Levitt should be given serious consideration. He has phenomenal range and is going to go down in history as one of the great ones if he's given the right chances. I'd like Scarlet Johansson across from him. She can play a nice mix of roles and is an easy sell for the box office draw.

I'll upgrade my expectation of the budget a bit and see what happens!

You haven't told us anything at all about what the lead roles are in the film aside from their gender. Who are the characters? What do they want? What do they do? To give a casting suggestion without knowing anything at all about the roles is quite difficult.

I think the budget will finally be around 6 mil or so, trying to see if 2 mil will be enough for somewhat recognisable actors so the thing will be sold. Different country to American Nascar - although its the same cars, not the same brand. Apologies for shortish answer. On my BB.Thanks for posting.
