If you had $1,500 what would you buy for your set up?

I got the Britek kit and really like it. Not knowing any better, I got the umbrella.....an extra softbox would be much more useful.

Still looking for the right crane. Is there any consensus on which is the best for DVX?

Wow a porch as the company car! OMG!!!! lol
That was silly overall in a good way. I love stuff liek that, i tmabe me laugh at the end.
When they walk into the dining room there's some serious strobing going on, did u notice that?

Yep, the strobing was my fault (bad editing decision!) not that of the DVX.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. 'Silly' is a high complement in my book!

With regard to cranes, I think I'm going to give the ProMax Cobra Crane II a shot.

you could get a chroziel box and rods for apx 1500. but i think you should get some nice audio gear. a shotgun mic and a boompole, with a windscreen (lightwave equalizer is nice) and perhaps a nice lav if you can squeeze it in there. audio is very very very important, and should not go neglected at all. it can completely make or break your production. IMHO it should be your priority before other camera accessories.

I'm selling my Mackie 32x8 mixing board today so I'll have $1,500 to play with!!!!!!!

Funny, I just dropped about $1400 on equipment myself.

I bought a cinebag, a Rode NTG2 shotgun, a Ktek KE110CC boom pole, a Lacie 250 gig drive, and a bunch of other swag.

All needed to finish our feature.
