this artist keeps telling me that the video I made for him is going to be on MTV. hold your horses that's a whole new ball game than YouTube. I have the rights so are they gnna pay me for it to be on tv every time they show it. or do I just lose out since I didn't charge jackshnit to make it? how does it work?
 
And if it's a music video, no one is getitng paid each time it airs - for films, it' usually a license deal for x number of airing over x amount of time. But as Zak points out, if it was a work for hire, the artist owns it. GOod marketing for you, use it in your reel for new business.

yea then the artist owns it. so all it's good for is more clientele. that works but i
like to see some real money but all these musicans are broke. any ideas?
