If I Ran The Oscars…

yesterday I had the chance to see the Hurt Locker. Great movie!
Tomorrow we'll know if you are on the right track....(at least we'll see if the academy agrees with your picks).

I have a much bigger problem with The Blind Side getting nominated than A Serious Man. I can certainly think of many other films more deserving than either one, but the only remarkable thing about "Blind" was Bullock's performance. Other than that, it was a completely predictable, by-the-numbers sports movie. (IMHO, of course.)
 
I'm a huge Coen brothers fan, although The Man Who Wasn't There left me pretty cold, Burn After Reading left me mostly cold, and A Serious Man left me clawing my way out of the freezer...

Just unpleasant, from start to finish. Can't remember the last time I was so eager for a movie to be over

Hmmm.... I really enjoyed Burn After Reading so maybe there's hope for me. :)
