if anyone has a sgpro

so i just got my sgpro in today. i was excited till i put it all together.

the red led light did not come on. the motor did not start spinning and the battery pack started to overheat with in a minute. now i know what your thinking maybe i put the batteries in backwards. lol. no i made sure i put them in the right way. and for kicks i tried the reverse. i tried batteries from a different pack also. still no luck.

so if any one has a clue as what my problem is please let me know.

mitch

oh yeah can you feel of hear the sgpro when it is on? that would be help full to know

i can't hear when mine is on. At least not unless maybe i put my ear right up to the unit. But my red light always comes on. I don't know what to tell you other than email the guys over at shoot35.

My guess is there is a short in the battery box - which is not surprising, because it is the only part of the kit that is not well made. The wires connecting to the dc plug are very loosely soldered on. If you unscrew the plug I would bet they are shorting out.

Wayne will be able to help you out though.

both battery packs are no good. im going to radio shack to get the part cause i have a shoot this weekend. wayne is also sending me some new packs. wayne is there a way that i can make a adapter that plugs into the a wall?

Yeah just get a variable transofrmer and set it to 3v (or one that is 3v anyway) and stick a correct sized barrel connector on the end. But who wants it plugged into the wall?

fixed!!! the soldering was a lil messed up i just took apart the battery pack and sniped the excess wires that where shorting out the battery pack.

Anyone got any ideas for an alternate battery box for the SGPro. It makes me nervous that it can crap out on you so easily...
