iDVD3 stuck :(

I have been burning demos of my projects that I edited in FCP to DVD's in iDVD3 with no problems so far. But last night when I clicked on the iDVD3 icon, it never loaded. The rainbow circle icon just kept spinning when it stopped I clicked on the top menu but everything was gray and unclickable. Why is it doing this? I just burned 2 discs on Saturday with no problems. I played a regular store bought dvd in my drive and it played with no problem. I updated the Firmware and some other stuff that was available but that didn't fix the problem. I wish I knew how to troubleshoot this issue. I will have to export to tape until I can get this resolved.

If you are burning DVD projects off of FireWire drives --- disconnect them. Usually I have this problem when iDVD can't find a rendered quicktime file or something. If you disconnect the drive --- it REALLY can't find it and will error and you can create a new project and start from scratch...

nope i have no firewire drives at this time. I think I need to clear out a bunch of files and then I should not have this problem anymore.

That or the ubiquitous 'trash your prefs' fix. Works on almost everything.
