Hey all, happy new year. I'm just trying to make some simple quick SD DVDS from iDVD 6.0.4. (Just audition pieces for my fiance to send off to casting people).
I'm shooting with the HV20 in 720, 24fps, importing into iMovie 720HD project.
Here, it looks immaculate. Crystal clear. But... when I drag it into iDVD, the downconversion is atrocious. Very artifact heavy. Motion is weird.
I've tried "BEST QUALITY" in iDVD preferences, but the reality is, this is a far cry from
DVDStudioPro with MPEG-2.
I'm only on my Macbook laptop here in NYC, no access to DVDStudio Pro/ my desktop in LA, so needless to say, it's very frustrating.
Any suggestions on how I can eek out better quality? Is the encoding in iDVD '08 with iLife better? Thanks.
