Im trying to burn the file onto dvd using idvd im trying to get full quality and i dont know what im doing wrong thats causing motion blur can anyone help me thanks

Sounds like iDVD is doing your compression to MPEG-2 for you, correct? Probably not the best way to achieve quality DVDs.

Have you tried Compressor? Do you only have FCE?

Exporting full quality is a good idea. However, full quality (what ever that means in terms of codec, data rate and resolution) will not play in a dvd player without encoding first to MPEG-2 for dvd playback. In most cases, full quality video won't even fit on a data DVD without some kind of compression (DV, for instance, is 13GB per hour and a single layer DVD can only hold 4.7GB).

Since you are using final cut pro, I suggest you use Compressor to compress your file using the DVD best quality 90 minute settings (or 120min / 150min if your content is longer). For audio, use the dolby option if space is of a premium or the Aiff option if quality is more important than file size. Also, try turning ON frame controls and adding a little bit of detail, say +6.

Than import your .m2v and .aiff file into DVD Studio Pro, and use it to mux them together and then format/burn the DVD.

iDVD is not a professional program and will not offer professional controls. Compressor and DVDSP give many more options for tweaking a file and burning DVDs exactly how you want.
