That's where talking to the DJ ahead of time comes in. I have never seen anyone running sound put everything in a locked rack that can't be accessed. I just make sure I get the DJs number from the client. Call the DJ and have him provide a line out. If he isn't cooperating, you have the groom (the DJ's boss) call and make sure it happens. I can't advise on every possible way that you think it CAN'T work. So it's best to tell them what you need from the DJ, otherwise the toasts can't have audio.
