Hey guys,
I’m trying to figure out a comfortable rig for my 70D and I want to hear your thoughts on it.
Basically I’l be using it mostly handheld or with a monopod, occasionally on a slider.
I’d like to rig it with a Tascam DR-60D, an Audio-Technica AT875 shotgun mic, a Sennheiser ew 112-p G3, and a Aputure Amaran AL198C LED on top
Currently I’m thinking of connecting the Tascam to the bottom of the camera where it supposed to go.
On the top of the camera I’m thinking of putting a SHAPE Candy DSLR Handle
To that handle I want to connect the G3 on one side, the gun mic on the other side, and the LED on top.
I’m not exactly sure what the best solution to connect this accessories is.
I saw this hot shoe to 1/4 adaptor which looks like a good solution to connect the LED to the top of the handle since my LED has a female shoe mount on the bottom.
For the shotgun mic I saw this shock mount to shoe mounr adpater that looks good but I’m not sure how to connect that adapter to the handle, I tried to find a ¼-20 to a female adapter but i didn’t find anything so I was thinking may I’ll use the same adapter that I have for the LED and connect that to this kind of thing and connect that to the shockmount.
It sound a bit cumbersome and if you can point out a better way to do that I would really appreciate it.
The G3 comes with a male shoe mount thingy so I think the same setup applies.
Any thougths on this or suggestions?
