Ideal Dedolight kit?

I've been searching the forums, and there isn't a great deal of information on Dedolights. While obviously they're expensive, I also know the control and weight of the lights make them fantastic for one man shooting. Mole, Lowel, and Arri have all been good to me, but I move quickly on shoots and do a lot of setups. The level of control afforded by Dedolights really makes a difference to me.

Looking at the kits available on B&H, I'm overwhelmed by the options. Could anyone recommend a good three head Dedolight kit?

I have a four-head 150w kit with individual dimmers. The dimmers are more flexible then the big heavy AC box. I have three 150w DHL4 heads and the 150w Dedo softlight with a small Photoflex softbox. All fit in a Pelican 1610 case with padded dividers.

Works great for interviews.

Dedo's are worth their weight in gold. i too echo the sentiment that you are better off with the new fangled individual dimmer [instead of the powerpak] (which wasn't available when i bought seven years ago).

All the accessories are invaluable and a must have but depending on what you do, it might be initial overkill to get accessories for each light in your kit
go the extra trouble and get yourself the projection attachment with the framing shutters and eye peice adapter for just one head. You will wonder how you lived without it.

i initially bought a 4 100w head with powerpak but only the accessories for one light, then as i found more money, i would buy more accessories for the remaining lights but i do a lot more table top photography where i need the pinpoint detail.

We have a 4-piece 100W case with the powerpack at work. I think individual dimmers are indeed better, although with the powerpack you only need one outlet for all four lamps.

When working with the HVX200 the 100W Dedos are often not powerful enough (i.e. if you need to gel them) - they are certainly not powerful enough if you need soft light. However they are invaluable for little spotlights in places where you'd never be able to fit a bigger unit.
The Dedo stands are really small and lightweight, the Dedo clamps are extremely small as well and you can even use them for bigger lamps like a 1kW par.

I never used the Dedos much for tv work (although they are really handy for interview backgrounds) but when I shot my first short I realized that even I had seven 1kW PARs I would have been totally lost without the Dedo lights (mostly using one or two 1kW but all Dedo lights)

Thanks everyone!

Do you find the 150w Dedos too small for use as a key light with the HVX200?
