I have an idea to ease posting plurality issues, would make life simpler for community, but would probably make life tougher on administrators....
...but, what if, at the top of each forum (ie 'Latest HVX200 News', etc.) There was a sticky faq of questions asked by posters? In simple form, could just be a sticky with links and descriptions - ex. - somewhat similar to the sticky under 'Latest HVX200 News' but with more answers to common questions in the forum, and/or links to the threads already dealing with those questions (like if longer answers are required) which would immediately send people to the topic and help keep questions relating to said topic in their place.
I keep trying the search function, but it is limited and either comes back with way too many posts (like if searching for best prices on HVX200 from legitimate stores where Almost every forum has many members asking or answering that question all over the place, and the full text search function brings them all) or doing an "in title only" search which may not have a titled post from member "X" who got his HVX from "Y" Camera Co. for (enter unbelievable steal here followed by $ and kudos from Barry Green (and/or other trusted member
) but he posted it in reply to member A's question asked in member B's thread about the proper way to light a porn set!? but member X never posted a thread that was aptly titled...
anyhow, I hope you see where I'm going with this (degree in Algebra helps, LOL)
Just a thought from the ether, LOL
Thanks,
Aza
