IBS vs Brushless Gimbal Stabilizers

Since the leak of Sony's upcoming two new FF Alpha cameras, I've read remarks to the effect that, if their video and IBS are good enough, filmmakers might be better off purchasing the A7 rather than getting a stabilizer costing twice as much as their GH3 or other hybrid camera. My question is, is there or is there likely to be any time soon a hybrid camera that shoots good video whose IBS is comparable to a brushless gimbal?

Edit: I guess the stuff I read about IBS in the Sony was just some reader's fantasy. But I guess nobody here knows the answer to my question?
