Hi everyone from DVX user.

(Sorry about my english... I try hard to improve myself).

You must hear this lots of time, but, I will get my Panasonic AG-DVX100A the next week. I got the confirmation from the place where I purchased the camera today. I can't wait to use it. I love so much that camera.

I started to use this camera since it's first release. Before using the DVX100, I used to shoot with a Canon XL1 (not the s version, the first release). I was unsatisfied about the quality of the image (if I compare with a PD-150 in that time).

I purchased the camera with a porta brace to protect it and three batteries (5400mha)

Sure, I purchased my camera at Entreprise VideoService (www.videoservice.ca) at Montreal, Québec, Canada. That boutique are specialized in video equipment rental (dv 25mb to dv100 mbs, digibeta, beta sp, etc..)

Some screen grab

Some screen grab

Finally, I uploaded pictures on my website. So, for people who are interested to see my work I've done with a DVX100A, this summer, I attempt to shoot a short film called "Ostracisme (french title)", a sort of horror movie that I shoot and I decided to cancel it because I'm not satisfied. but some scenes are pretty good visually. (Most of sequences are shoot during the night).

I will post more screen grab later.

Your footage seems really dark. (I know it's AT NIGHT!) But you might be able to bring out the lights more in post, by increasing the contrast.

Also, she's being buried in a very shallow hole. Anyone could squirm their way out of that, no problem. You need to make the hole at least 4 feet deep. Anything less and you'll have the police knocking at your door. Trust me. :)

Good luck with your new DVX.

Bullshit. I've buried several people at 3 1/2 feet and never had the cops at my door... perhaps you should forget about that.

The grab I take is the raw footage, without any modification. I will post same picture with correction.

This is an another reason why I cancel the movie... The realism...We had one day and half to shoot and the result is...well... I'm not happy at all. About the police, I had the collaboration of the Police of Trois-Rivieres, so even if someone call the police, they know we shoot a movie.

Same for me, but I called the police "before" that I will bury someone. I warn the neiborhood about the screams. We said to the police that we do a movie project. The police come on the set (to verify is everything is ok) and they say "good luck with your movie and don't worry".
