i was told that with my hvx200 i just got i needed

"install the P2 mac drivers first. Then it will initialize and mount onto your
mac desktop. But make sure you install the correct drivers for your OS.
(Panasonic's website has the Mac or PC drivers)"

in order for it to mount to my computer. how do i do that? any help would be great thank you.

Yeah they have drivers that you need to install. You are going to need to be able to connect your camera to the computer also at some point during the install.
